Lake Highlands is known for family living with involvement in

Education
The Richardson
ISD serves the Lake Highlands area. Families are attracted to
this area because of the reputation of the Richardson school system
as one of the best in the state. Recently, the district was selected
as one of "America's 25 Best School Systems." The district
provides 35 elementary
schools, 10 junior highs, and 4 high schools. An individualized
education program is maintained in all grades. While academic subjects
are emphasized, the district's educational philosophy stresses a
student-centered approach to learning through the use of widely
diversified curriculum.
There
are 9 private and parochial schools in the area.
Dallas
Theological Seminar, Eastfield College, Richland College, and Southern
Methodist University are available to the residents of the Northeast
Dallas area.
